Lunch with class from 12:30ish-3:30ish which included 6 amazing flautas at a restaurant nestled in a Mexican grocery story (aka legit) and 2 Mexican cokes. And 10 buckets of beer for the rest of my classmates (I’m not a fan of beer so I didn’t partake) along with appetizers specifically designed to help you from getting drunk (ham, pork, and beer on top of french fries) and churros filled with strawberry filling.

Planning a roadtrip with said class to Nicaragua next semester and having the professor agree not only to join us but include it in his syllabus as research from 2-3:30ish

Expectations rarely live up to the reality. In this case, however, I think the reality was so much better.

She’s totes going to be a fan of deconstructionist theory when she grows up.

My roommate, Katie, has been trying her hardest the past 2 months or so for ”totes” to catch on in our group of friends. I told her that I had seen it used a few times on tumblr but couldn’t remember who exactly said it and she made a squee sound of delight. Now I know where I had seen it before! I haven’t given in to the “totes” phenomenon yet although several friends in my circle have gone over to the dark side. It’s only a matter of time before I find myself unconsciously saying it in a conversation with someone. One friend has even changed it to “totes mcgoat” (say it out loud and it’ll make sense). And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why we are friends.

10 pages out of 20-25. It’s going to be a long next two days. Friday at 5 will be oh so sweet....

I have a favorite microfilm machine in the library. As in I sit there everytime and get sad if someone else is using it (today was successful in securing it.) It’s perfectly located in the corner where no one notices me and faces a wall so I’m less likely to be distracted. Not like I don’t have my laptop sitting right next to me… I have reached a new low.
